Some of the notable projects I’ve worked on include TSMC AZ Fab 21, multiple Intel Fabs (6, 11X, 12, 22, Foundry), and cleanroom renovations at Arizona State University and Cornell University. I also played a key role in cleanroom upgrades for Corning Inc., including projects in Sullivan Park and Taichung, Taiwan. I specialize in HVAC design, cleanroom construction, and tool installations, with strong expertise in maintaining cleanroom protocols and managing molecular contamination (particles, organics, aerosols, vibration, thermal swings, and sound). My responsibilities have included project management, engineering design/build, QA/QC testing, leak detection, and developing standard cleanroom procedures. I’ve also conducted root cause analysis for contamination problems and helped optimize R&D lab upgrades and manufacturing scale-ups. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with teams on planning, budgeting, and installing sensitive tools in cleanroom environments, ensuring top performance and compliance with industry standards.

Francis Govers is the Associate Director of Aircraft Autonomy at Collins Aerospace. He leads a team of engineers and designers for the next steps in aircraft capability, pilot workload reduction, resilient navigation, and assured autonomy. Francis started his career in the US Air Force as a Satellite Communications Specialist, then went to NASA where he worked his way up to being the Lead Engineer for C2 for the International Space Station, and also contributed to the space shuttle, Moon and Mars exploration, and space robotics. He was the founder of the Advanced Simulation Laboratory at TASC, and led many simulation projects for Eurocontrol, NASA, DARPA and the FAA, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, BMDO, and numerous unmanned systems projects. Francis became involved in Artificial Intelligence in 1994, and has authored two books on the subject, and has become a sought-after expert, presenting at conferences and organizations like the Horasis Global Meeting. Francis is active in the community, and has volunteered to work with ASTM, RTCA and GAMA (General Aviation Manufacturers Association), as well as being active in STEM programs – BEST (Boosting Engineering Science and Technology), FIRST Robotics, and helping start the AVR – Advanced Vertical Robotics competition, now in its sixth year. His work in robotics and autonomy started in 1984 with industrial robots for assembly lines, and, with the DARPA Grand Challenge in 2004 branched into self-driving cars, boats, and aircraft. He is the designer or engineering lead for over 30 unmanned and autonomous vehicles for land, sea, air and space. His assignments have shown an increasing level of responsibility from Chief Engineer, VP of Engineering and CTO appointments. As CTO of Gamma 2 Robotics, he designed RAMSEE, the security guard robot. Highlights also include publishing 48 papers or articles in periodicals, author or joint author of five books, including the best-selling “Artificial Intelligence for Robotics” first edition in 2018 and the second edition in 2024. He was in charge of the “Yellow Line” for NFL Football, designed the telemetry system for NASCAR and IndyCar, and managed a Zeppelin Airship for Airship Ventures. At Bell Textron, he founded the Autonomy Department and supported numerous cutting edge development projects, including the V-247 Vigilant UAS, several UAS proposals, the Bell 360 Invictus scout helicopter, and the V-280 Valor, which won the Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft contract. He founded the Textron Autonomy Council that coordinated autonomous vehicle projects across that organization. Francis is the recipient of numerous awards, including five outstanding achievement awards from the International Space Station program, “World Changing Ideas” from Scientific American, the Chapter Award from the National Space Society, and awards from the Army and Boeing for Future Combat Systems. He was named a “Titan of Autonomy” by the Vertical Flight Society in 2023. Francis received his bachelor’s degree in Math and Computer Engineering at Texas State University, and his Master of Science Degree at Brandeis University. He holds a commercial, instrument and multi-engine rating as a pilot.

Eesha Hariharan is a junior at LASA High School in Austin, Texas, with experience in scientific research and public presentation. She has competed in the Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair, showcasing the Python automation she developed to convert printed text into speech for individuals who are visually impaired. In the summer of 2024, Eesha attended the University of Texas High School Research Academy, where she studied the relationship between the star formation rate (SFR) and U-R color index values, focusing on differences between spiral and elliptical galaxies. She applied data science tools, including Python libraries such as NumPy and Pandas, to analyze and visualize these relationships, and presented her findings in a poster session at the UT Department of Astronomy. Her paper on this project is pending publication in the Princeton Journal of Interdisciplinary Research. Her academic interests include data science, astronomy, and computational problem solving.

“Wim Vegt is a physicist known for proposing a unified framework connecting quantum physics and general relativity through what he terms the Electromagnetic–Gravitational Interaction. He earned his degree in Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands) in 1988 and has published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals. In 1995 Vegt published an initial formulation of his ideas in Physics Essays, arguing that quantum probability waves are actually confined electromagnetic waves caused by a gravitational–electromagnetic coupling. He has asserted a revision to Maxwell’s equations that, he contends, corrects a longstanding modelling error and motivates a quantum model based on discrete confined electromagnetic waves carrying mass, electric charge, and quantized magnetic spin. Vegt’s later work expands these concepts to astrophysical phenomena. In 2024 he published a major article in the Journal of Laser Applications presenting the Electromagnetic–Gravitational Interaction as a unifying theory of gravity and electromagnetism. My name is Emilio Lugo, and I’m currently studying Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Florida Institute of Technology, where I also earned a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering. I’m originally from Central Valley, New York, and I’ve had a passion for the unknown for as long as I can remember. That early curiosity about the universe is what led me to pursue a career in astrophysics. With a background that bridges both scientific theory and engineering application, I enjoy approaching cosmic questions from a systems-level perspective. I am a third-year PhD student in numerical relativity at the University of British Columbia, working with Dr. Matthew Choptuik. My current research involves applying physics-informed machine learning techniques—especially Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs)—to model black hole collisions. This approach holds the potential to streamline gravitational wave inference, offering more efficient pathways to interpret complex astrophysical signals. Before working on numerical relativity, I completed my Master’s under the supervision of Ian Affleck, where I employed numerical methods such as DMRG methods to explore supersymmetry in a Majorana chain. Throughout my academic journey, I have engaged with diverse areas of physics, yet my primary interest consistently lies in the computational and methodological aspects that underpin these investigations. As a side research, I enjoy spending time on Ads/CFT correspondence. I also had numerical experience working on 2D materials such as Graphene. Ultimately, I seek to refine and expand the computational techniques at our disposal, improving our ability to model, simulate, and understand fundamental physical phenomena.
